In September 1543, Takeda’s army besieges Nagakubo Castle in Shinano. Harunobu decides to give Kansuke the position of Takeda’s military strategist, if he successfully captures the castle. With the help of the spy he has already sent into the enemy, Kansuke swiftly takes the castle. Meanwhile, Yu is in agony, torn apart between her affection and grudge toward Harunobu.
